NEIL LANDSTRUMM is with no doubt one of the big heroes of techno. With several albums and uncountable singles released on renowned labels like Tresor, Peacefrog and Planet µ, he has definitely written techno history. And this does not even count in his own label Scandinavia, which released music of high prolific techno artists such as Cristian Vogel, Tobias Schmidt, Adam X and many more.
Although having produced his first records in the early nineties NEIL LANDSTRUMM is in no way an old school producer! He has produced a few top notch dubstep records in the last years (released on planet µ) and is just now being one of the producers pushing the boundaries of the post dubstep UK Bass sound and is also being featured on the NONPLUS label being run by no one else but BODDIKA.
For KILLEKILL NEIL has recently delivered a handful of tracks which combine his typical dirty techno sound with the aesthetics of Dubstep and UK Bass. Extremely funky and with a big drop of acid they fit perfectly to the sound of our label. For our podcast series he has offered this massive piece of pure and raw techno recorded live from his machine park.

It’s been almost a year since Demdike Stare finished their “Tryptych” of releases, and in the intervening months Miles Whittaker and Sean Canty have been busy touring and gradually piecing together sounds for this new series: Elemental. After four limited edition vinyl installments, Elemental is now released as a 2CD album, including different versions of tracks that have appeared on the vinyl editions, plus extensive additional material – making for a two-hour trip through dark, post-industrial terrain.

This playlist is comprised of 32 tracks of some of the most forward-thinking UK music. The music that has been made in the UK in the last year or so has been truly exciting as genre boundaries seem to have been forgotten, and a constant stream of tracks comprised of post-dubstep, future garage, acid techno, techno, and a load of other stuff, way too hard to categorise, looks set to continue coming out of the UK.

As long-standing fans of Spatial, we’ve had the chance to watch this guy’s productions go from good to insane. When you’re at the level he’s at now, filling two thirds of a mix with your own dubs is actually the best thing you can do. And it’s exactly what he’s done for us, weaving ten brand new productions around further exclusives from Jamie Grind, Kingthing and xxxy among others.

Currently all the rage with hipsters worldwide, Chicago Juke music has roots that run deep. The film chronicles the birth and evolution of a genre over 25 years.
Bit of a history lesson here. This wicked documentary chronicles the evolution of ghetto house, from it’s early roots in the late 80′s in Chicago through to the modern day manifestation of juke and footwork. Essential viewing.
